By staying a few kilometres from Rocamadour, you can easily visit the site early in the morning or in the evening, when the light is most beautiful and the crowds are absent.
2. L'Hospitalet (1 km)
Village located just above Rocamadour, L'Hospitalet offers the famous viewpoint with a plunging view over the city. Several hotels and restaurants. Practical but very touristy.
3. Alvignac (6 km)
Small spa village with a few accommodations. Quiet and affordable, ideal if you have a car.
4. Gramat (10 km)
The capital of the Causse offers more choice of accommodation and restaurants. Good base if you also want to explore the surroundings (Padirac, Lacave caves).
