The Rocamadour Festival celebrates its 21st edition from 15 to 26 August 2026, on the theme Dialogue des mondes (Dialogue of Worlds). Twenty-three concerts of classical and sacred music, in the Saint-Sauveur Basilica but also in Souillac, Gramat, Lacave and the ruins of L'Hospitalet.
We keep this page current because our guests ask about the festival all year round. Below you will find the 2026 programme concert by concert, the real ticket prices, and the 2025 edition kept as an archive so you can see what the festival is like.

A Festival That Spills Beyond the Sanctuaries
The festival is associated with the Saint-Sauveur Basilica, and that is where most of it happens: its Romanesque vaults give a natural acoustic made for a cappella voices and sacred music. But treating the festival as a Rocamadour-only event is a planning mistake if you are travelling from far away.
In 2026 the concerts are spread across five venues:
- Saint-Sauveur Basilica, Rocamadour — the heart of the festival, a 5-minute drive from the hotel
- Sainte-Marie Abbey Church, Souillac — 30 minutes away, three major choral evenings
- Ruins of L'Hospitalet, Rocamadour — open air, on 17 and 18 August
- Grand Couvent Chapel, Gramat — 15 minutes away, the opening concert on 16 August
- Château de la Treyne, Lacave — 20 minutes away, the Barbara evening on 22 August
Allow for the drive: from the hotel, Souillac is a good half hour on country roads, in the dark, after a concert that ends around 11 pm. It is perfectly doable and it makes a fine end to the evening, but it is worth knowing before you book two concerts on the same day.

About seating categories
In the basilica as in Souillac abbey, the cheapest tickets mean partial or no view: pillars, side aisles, back of the nave. The acoustics stay excellent, the view does not. If you are coming to watch a soloist, take a first category seat.
Practical Tips
Getting to the venues
For the basilica, the sanctuaries are reached on foot via the Grand Staircase from the village (216 steps), via the paths from L'Hospitalet, or by the inclined lift (paying), which is also the step-free access. For Souillac, Gramat and Lacave you will need a car.
What to bring
- A jumper: churches stay cool even in the middle of August
- Comfortable shoes: steps and cobbles
- Time to spare: arrive 30 minutes early, seating within a category is often unallocated
- A torch: for the walk back down after a 9 pm concert
